Gone Country

Singer/songwriter Dallas Moore is an Outlaw Country performer whose well-crafted no-nonsense tunes have been featured on two albums, most recently on the fantastic One More Ride CD.  Moore's howl-and-twang vocal approach might be too gritty for commercial Country radio, but several independent stations around the country have put his single, "One of Us" in their rotation.

For the past two and a half years, Moore has been performing solo acoustic gigs, but just a couple of weeks ago, Moore debuted the brand spankin' new Dallas Moore Band.  The group features Randy Peak (guitar/harmonica), former Waylon Jennings stickman, Steve Holmes (drums), Chuck Morpurgo (guitar) and Bob Rutherford (bass).   After a series of local dates, the band will go out on the road with two quite disparate acts -- Billy Ray Cyrus and and aforementioned Merle Haggard.

This weekend, Moore will bring his band to the Eagles Club in Germantown on Friday and they'll be playing something called Bellyfest in Harrison on Saturday.
