Dallas Moore Band Ron Gambrell It was Friday night the 9th of June. A friend asked me if I would like to go to the Riverfront to see the Georgia Satellites. The group was in town performing as part of the Riverpoints Festival. We arrived early enough to catch one of the opening acts, The Dallas Moore Band. Well, to make a long story short, the Dallas Moore Band stole the show. The intensity that Dallas and the boys put into their performance was just too much to follow. This is not to say that the Georgia Satellites aren't a good group. However, they just don't hold a candle to the boys who came to the Derby Town, from Cincinnati, via Copperhead Road. Most bands are lucky to have one good guitar picker. This band has two, Chuck Morphigo and Randy Peak, not to mention that lead singer, Dallas Moore picks a pretty respectful lick himself. You team these guys up with Mr. Bob Rutherford on bass and the band's newest addition, Bobby Lee on drums, and its time to party. If you like butt kicking' ,foot stomping' music, you owe it to yourself to see and hear Dallas and company on their next trip to town.
