Outlaw RulesRick Bird From Norwood to Nashville, Cincinnati's ambassador of outlaw country-rock is staying busy. Dallas Moore has released hi live CD, "Live - Back at the Saddle," a great mix of rugged country-rock covers and Moore's infectious originals. Moore's contagious rockabilly sound is captured at its best in the set, recorded last New Year's Eve at the Silver Saddle in Mount Healthy. Moore debuted the disc at a Nashville club last week and drew the attention of some national-label reps. And last Sunday, he really returned to his roots, playing a benefit show at Norwood High School to raise money for an auditorium damaged by fire. For the first time, Moore opened for his mother's bluegrass band, Sunset Dawn. Both Moore and his mother, Madge, are Norwood High graduates. Catch Moore Saturday in an unplugged set from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Tri-County Harley Davidson store on U.S. 4 in Fairfield. The Dallas Moore Band returns to its regular haunt Wednesday, the Knotty Pine in Cheviot (no cover). |
