“If that don’t light your fire then your wood’s wet.”
No truer words ever spoken, courtesy of The Snatch Wranglers’ head outlaw Dallas Moore.
This DVD captures one night of rippin’ Outlaw Country-style mayhem that pretty much sums
up the current state of the genre . . . and it’s alive and well, by the way!

The production on the project leaves a little to be desired; the stage lighting is harsh and the
camera changes could be a bit smoother; but that’s not what this DVD is about. It’s about the
Music and the Attitude of Outlaw Country and in that sense, is a masterpiece! This is what you
get at a Snatch Wranglers show . . . pure, hot music and a “we may be good ol’ boys, but don’t
f**k with us” attitude that jumps off the screen and out of the speakers.

All this killer music is intermingled with short interview segments that give you some insight
into the mind and background of Dallas and the ‘Wranglers. What shines through are love and
respect for their influences and a solid determination to continue the tradition of putting the
music first. Dallas is a man of many faces . . . a proud son, a proud American and most
importantly, an authentic Outlaw. He doesn’t just talk about Harleys, he actually rides one; he
doesn’t just talk about drinking whiskey, he does. That’s an Outlaw!

Now let’s get to the music. The tunes range from originals spanning Dallas’ career, including
several new ones, to covers of Billy Joe Shaver’s “Hottest Thing In Town”, Hank Jr’s “Country
Boy Can Survive”, and Steve Earle’s “Copperhead Road”, to name a few. It’s whiskey-soaked,
guitar-squallin’, fist-pumpin’ live music at it’s best. There’s even an acoustic segment that
showcases Dallas’ pickin’ skills . . . he’s definitely not a “three chord” wonder!
Dallas Moore and The Snatch Wranglers leave it all on the stage. It’s raw, it’s hot...all the usual
superlatives . . . but most of all, it’s REAL.

Skydog rates “One Night In Kentucky” a 12 out of a possible 10. Period.
