Dallas Moore to Play Tour of Area Bars
Western Star
The Dallas Moore Band is a self-proclaimed honky-tonk lovin' foursome that has been releasing CDs and garnering awards locally since 1999, including Best Country Vocalist and Best Country Instrumentalist. Dallas Moore is lead vocals; Bob Rutherford is bass guitar, vocals; Chuck Morpurgo is on guitar and Rocky Parnell is on drums. If the long hair, tats and photos with beer cans are any indication, the Dallas Moore Band is not your Keith Urban country music. Song samples, such as Down in Dixie and Momma Was a God-Fearing' Woman can be downloaded on the band's Web site at www.dallasmoore.com. After playing The Best Damn Bar in Town, located at 7954 Harrison Ave., Cincinnati, the group will hit some local spots such as Charlie's Throttle Stop in Fairfield, Jan. 20. Moore himself is also at Charlie's on acoustic guitar from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. every Tuesday. They'll wrap up the month at Deuces Wild in Mason Jan. 28. |
